TSC: APOLOGY AND PLEDGE TO SBTSS TRAINEES: TSC WILL PAY SBTSS MONEY FOR TEACHERS OF ENGLISH, TRAINEES SOON

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC has promised to release money for English SBTSS Teachers of English in due time.

According to a statement released by the Commission, all teachers of English who attended SBTSS training will receive their dues once some technical issues are sorted out.

“The Commission is aware of the delayed payment of SBTSS English trainees. We are sorting out a few issues in relation to this payment and we will soon communicate to you,” said Ms. Beatrice Wababu, TSC Head of Communications and Corporate affairs.

The Commission further apologized to the affected teachers for any inconvenience caused.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience caused,” added Ms. Wababu.

The Commission also pledged to continue implementing part of the Secondary Education Quality Improvement project, SEQUIP on improving the quality of teaching in the targeted areas.

The project’s main objective is to improve student learning in both primary and secondary schools and to ensure a smooth transition from primary to secondary in targeted areas.

This objective will be measured through average test scores by learners in Science and Mathematics both in aggregate and separately for both boys and girls in public schools within the selected sub-counties.
