<p><strong>THE NAIROBI HOSPITAL SUSPENDS JUBILEE INSURANCE COVER OVER UNSETTLED DEBTS<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"size-full wp-image-6274" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;newspro&period;co&period;ke&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2020&sol;06&sol;download-17&period;jpg" alt&equals;"THE NAIROBI HOSPITAL SUSPENDS JUBILEE INSURANCE COVER OVER UNSETTLED DEBTS" width&equals;"259" height&equals;"194" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It has come to the attention of our media team that the highly sought after <strong>Nairobi Hospita<&sol;strong>l will no longer be offering medical services to members of the Jubilee insurance cover&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This is after wrangles between the Nairobi Hospital and the insurance provider over a three-year debt failed to be resolved&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a letter to Jubilee Insurance Group CEO Julius Kipng’etich&comma; the hospital claims that the firm is yet to settle an outstanding debt of Sh 375 million accumulated over the last three years&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to the Nairobi Hospital CEO Allan Pamba&comma; the huge bills can be attributed to unsettled 2018 and 2019 packages&semi; 33 million and 47&period;8 million respectively&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Less Profit<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A report issued by the<strong> Jubilee Insurance<&sol;strong> in May 2020&comma; shows that the firm is currently unstable&comma; financially following a 2&period;6 percent drop in net profit&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to the firm&comma; members’ claims have greatly exceeded their profit hence paralyzing the hospital’s smooth operations&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;In light of this &lpar;the outstanding debt&rpar;&comma; the hospital wishes to inform you that your account will be suspended effective Thursday June 18&comma; 2020 at 9&period;00 a&period;m&period;” reads part of the letter&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Besides&comma; the insurance firm owes the hospital Kshs 96million accumulated in 2020&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The 96 million includes a package for 2020 invoice which is still not being honored despite assurance from your end&comma;” adds Pamba&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Suspension of services<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Consequently&comma; the hospital boss has written to all consultants at the firm to notify them of the suspension of members for all Jubilee Insurance associates&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He added that hospitals are currently working on limited resources&period; Therefore&comma; payment of all debts on time will be highly appreciated since the services being offered are very critical&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On Friday June 19&comma; Jubilee Insurance head of customer care wrote a notice notifying the members of the suspended services&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The notice also contained information indicating that seamless services are still available at the rest of the medical facilities associated with the firm&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Seamless medical services are however available at the rest of our expansive provider panel&comma;” reads part of the notice&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
