1. Teachers on internship are likely to serve within their home counties. This, therefore, means that they are free from the highly dreaded delocalization threat.
2. Fresh graduates only should apply for the job (0-3 years). Senior graduates should cool their heels, wait for mass recruitment.
3. Senior graduates MUST be absorbed first before the interns. Therefore, there is nothing like preferential treatment for teachers who served as interns during the mass recruitment exercise.
4. You do not have to serve as an intern. Internship is optional, therefore you have an option of applying or not.
5. The schools have a mandatory responsibility of supporting interns by providing accommodation, food and upkeep. Do not suffer in the name of being an intern.
