How to download 2020/2021 KUCCPS Student’s Admission letter to RAF International University; 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf download

Congratulations for getting admission at RAF International University after your successful application. Students joining university are selected by the Kenya RAF International University and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

To download the RAF International University Admission letter;

  1. Access the KUCCPS Admission Letters Link at https://www.riu.ac.ke/
  2. Enter your Registration Number and Password then log in.
  3. Locate the Admission Letter download tab and click on it to download it.
  4. Print the Admission letter and read the instructions keenly. In case you have queries, please direct them to the University by using the official (provided) contacts on your admission letter.
THE RAF INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ADMISSION LETTER

The RAF International University admission letter is an important document that enables a prospective student to prepare adequately before joining the institution. Contents of the University admission letter are:

  • Your Admission Number
  • Your Name
  • Your Postal Address and other contact details
  • The Course you have been selected to pursue.
  • Reporting dates
  • What to carry during admission; Original and Copies of your academic certificates, national identity card/ passport, NHIF Card, Coloured Passports and Duly filled registration forms accessible at the university’s website.
  • Fees payable and payment details

The SMS can be sent from any subscriber’s line (Safaricom, Airtel or any other) to 20076. For example, send the SMS in the format 23467847002KCSE to 20076. There should be no space left between the index number and the word KCSE.

One thousand primary schools promoted by TSC, deployed to Secondary schools

The Teachers Service commission, TSC, has effected the promotions for 1,000 primary school teachers and posted them to secondary schools. This is good news for the teachers who had attained higher qualifications but still plying their trade at primary level.
 
  “I am pleased to inform you that your application for Appointment as a Secondary school Teacher II (T-scale 7) has been successful..” reads the appointment letter dispatched to one of the teachers.
 
The promoted teachers will have to report to their new stations between January 6, 2020 and January 20, 2020 after officially clearing from their current stations.
 
  To be considered for these promotions, one had to meet the following basic requirements:
  • Be Kenyan Citizens;
  • PI Certificate;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education with 2 teaching subjects;
  •  Must have minimum mean grade C+ (Plus) at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent and minimum C+ (Plus) in the two teaching subjects.
  • Must be employees of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

According to the Commission, interested candidates under this category were required to submit their applications to the Secretary Teachers Service Commission through the online platform www.teachersonline.tsc.go.ke; not later than 30th August, 2019.
 
  Those Successful have now been appointed at T-Scale 7 (Grade C2) and posted to secondary schools where vacancies (in their subject combinations) existed.
 
  The good news to these teachers is that the new grades come with increased perks as they will earn between Sh34,955 and Sh43,694 per month. “Your allowances will be paid in accordance to your new grade and station,” adds the appointment letter.
 
 The appointment letters were written December 30, 2019 and dispatched to Counties for onward transmission to the teachers. The posting of the one thousand teachers to secondary schools will try to bridge the staff shortages; which has been worsened by influx on form ones under the government’s 100% transition policy.

The interplay between computer science and mathematics is substantial and growing.  Designing and analyzing efficient algorithms and the design of reliable software for mission critical applications inevitably rely on advance mathematical tolls. ABOUT THE COURSE

The bachelor of science in medical social work will not only contribute in enhancing the standards of health care services in the region, but will also help institutions of higher learning churn out razor sharp researchers.  This is in line with the changing trends of healthcare services that now focus more on evidence-based practice of which medical social work education and practices embrace. The program will immensely contribute towards achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) 1, 3 and 8. These are to: “eradicate poverty in all its forms everywhere”, “ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages” and to “promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all” respectively by 2030.

COURSE DURATION

The Course takes the below specified time frames, depending on the type of student’s entry:

  • Full time: Four (4) years.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The need for all levels of our health system – Hospitals (Sub County, County and National Referral Hospitals), Health centers, Dispensaries and Community units, UN (WHO); NGOs, Research, Teaching; rehabilitation and psychiatric hospitals. Other major employers include offices and clinics, school systems, home health agencies, nursing homes, community mental health centers, adult daycare programs, job training service programs and residential care facilities.

LATEST COURSE REQUIREMENTS AS SET BY KUCCPS

On the KUCCPS site, this course is placed under cluster .
a)    Meet minimum University entry requirements and obtained a mean grade of at least C+ at K.S.C.E. or its equivalent and passed with at least a “C “in the subject clusters indicated.
(i)    Alternative A: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, English or Kiswahili
(ii)    Alternative B: Biology Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, English or Kiswahili
b)    Candidates with prior learning in Medical Social Work, Social Work, Sociology or Psychology from a recognized Institution or its equivalent as recognized by JKUAT will upon admission and request in writing for evaluation of accumulated credit for transfer upon submission of official relevant documents as per the JKUAT University CATS Policy.

Admission of candidates to the Co-operative University of Kenya programmes is open to all persons without discrimination on race, ethnicity, political opinion, gender or physical ability. Application forms can either be obtained from the Admissions Office at the Co-operative University of Kenya, or downloaded here and should be submitted upon a payment of a non-refundable application fee of KSh. 2,000 for Postgraduate programmes, KSh. 1,500 for Bachelors  programmes and KSh. 500 for Diploma and Certificate programmes.
