Strathmore High School is a privately owned school. It topped in KCSE 2018 with a mean index of 72.28. It had a total of 84 candidates.

Moi High School Kabarak came second nationally with a performance index of 72.28. It had a total of 300 candidates.

PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA TO OFFICIATE THE RELEASE OF KCPE EXAMS THIS WEEK

The recently concluded KCPE National exam marking exercise has set the ball rolling for the release of the long-awaited results which will determine the transition of Kenyan learners from primary to secondary level.

According to The Standard, it is now up to President Uhuru Kenyatta to determine when the exams will be released.

Sources at the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC have hinted that the processing of results for more than 1 million KCPE candidates is complete.

This, therefore, means that the results will be out this week.

TSC NEWS: LATEST DETAILS ON THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED JOB GROUPS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

The Teachers Service Commission has established new grades for primary school teachers.
These Grades are divided into two categories:
a. Entry Grades and
b. Promotional grades
Entry Grades are automatic- a teacher is placed automatically upon successful recruitment and employment.
Promotional Grades, on the other hand, are attained after the teacher meets given requirements.
These grades are contained in the TSC Career Progression Guidelines for teachers, 2018.
According to the guidelines, there are eight grades for primary school teachers. They include:

At least 315, 000 TSC employees will now get access to the benefits of enhanced medical cover after the Teachers Service Commission renewed their deal with AON Minet Insurance. The new contract will last three years.

TSC INTERVIEW DATES FOR 2019 TEACHER INTERNS’ RECRUITMENT

The Teachers Service Commission has released interview schedules for teacher interns seeking recruitment.

The interviews will be conducted at the county levels-TSC offices.

According to the TSC memo written by TSC Corporate Communications boss Catherine Lenairoshi, lists of successful applicants have already been dispatched to all the 47 counties.

TSC STOPPED FROM ENDING RECOGNITION AGREEMENT WITH KNUT

The Kenya National Union of Teachers KNUT has secured a temporary order halting the Teachers Service Commission, TSC from ending the recognition agreement.

According to KNUT’s lawyer Judith Guserwa the notice issued by TSC boss Nancy Macharia seeking to terminate the agreement which was signed on 15th May 1968 lacked basis since the union still has the simple majority.

The issued had been issued based contested numbers.
