KUCCPS

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is a State Corporation that provides career guidance and selects students for admission to universities, national polytechnics, technical training institutes and other accredited higher learning institutions for Government of Kenya-sponsored programmes.

KUCCPS was established to coordinate the placement of Government-sponsored students to Kenyan universities and colleges; develop and implement career guidance programmes; disseminate information on available programmes;

Our Story

Who We Are

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, also known as KUCCPS, is a State Corporation in the Ministry of Education. It was established in 2014 following the passage of the Universities Act, No. 42 of 2012. The Act outlines the mandate and functions of the Corporation.

What We Do

The functions of KUCCPS to coordinate the placement of the government-sponsored students to  universities and colleges; develop career guidance programmes for the benefit of students; disseminate information on available programmes, their costs and the areas of study prioritised by the government; collect and retain data relating to university and college placement; and advise the government on matters relating to student placement to universities and colleges, among others.

Principal’s Portal

The Principal’s portal is meant to enable secondary schools to submit applications for courses on behalf of their KCSE candidates (School/Centre Application). Note: The School/Centre Application was discontinued in 2023. Please contact us for more information.

Institution’s Portal

This portal is for Vice-Chancellors or Principals of Colleges or their representatives to update or declare their institutional and programme capacities for purposes of student placement, and to access relevant placement-related data.
