KPSEA Results Release Details

KPSEA results will be released on Monday next week in three levels on January 16, 2023.

 

Over 1.6 million Grade 6 students who participated in the maiden Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will receive their results on January 16, 2023.

 

According to Kenya National Examinations Council CEO David Njeng’ere, KNEC will release three reports.

 

The over than 1.6 million Grade 6 learners who sat for the inaugural Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will know their results on January 16, 2023.

 

According to the Kenya National Examinations Council CEO, David Njeng’ere, KNES will release three reports.

 

Individual learners, school-specific reports, and the national report on school-based and summative assessment are the three reports.

 

The national report will highlight the areas that require assistance as well as the number of learners at each performance level per topic who require intervention.

 

The individual school report will be tailored to each school and will highlight areas where students face difficulties and where schools require further assistance.

The paper, according to David Njeng’ere, would be critical to KNEC, the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), and the Ministry of Education as they all continue to transition to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

 

The KPSEA candidates, like the KCPE candidates, took five multiple-choice exam papers. They took Math, English, Kiswahili, Integrated Science, Creative Arts, and Social Studies classes.

 

According to a statement from the Presidential Working Party on Education Reform (PWPER), junior secondary schools for grades 7, 8, and 9 will be housed in existing primary schools.

 

In January 2023, Grade 6 students will enter the junior secondary portion at Grade 7.

 

According to the task force, the Ministry of Education will offer the appropriate rules on how this would be accomplished.

 

It further said that the Grade 6 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will not be used for Junior Secondary School placement.
