Dilemma As KNEC Now Bars Some Teachers From 2021 National
The teachers have been doing great job in the country.They have been teaching the students in classes and ensuring sufficient syllabus coverage on time.From here they supervise the national examinations and finally sum it up with marking of the exams.
During the marking of exams,the teachers have always been under pressure to finish the markings within the stipulated time.This is to give ample time for the exams to be released for the parents to begin planning for their children to go to either form one or colleges.
Kenya National Examinations Council has now advertised some recruitment for teachers in secondary schools.The council needs KCSE assessors for both oral and practical papers for the 2021 KCSE candidates.Unfortunately,the council has now barred some two categories of teachers in this new job.The first category barred by KNEC are the teachers who have suffered interdictions or have faced any disciplinary actions from TSC.The second group barred are those over 50 years of age.In most cases,the teachers who are above 50 years old are taken to be more experienced.Some of them are Principals who are now left out.The last two qualifications below in the last page reveal this.
