This date has been pushed forward from the original date of March 23, which was two weeks after the national examinations ended on March 9.

Magoha said the decision was based on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advice while opening a KCSE container in Kibera on Wednesday.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results for the year 2021 will be released on Monday 28 or Tuesday 29 March, according to Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.

Magoha said the decision was based on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advice while opening a KCSE container in Kibera on Wednesday.

“In terms of KCPE I think we can more less work with maybe Monday or Tuesday according to his excellency the President’s diary,” he said.

He also stated that the examination marking process is already complete, but that additional formalities are being carried out to ensure that the process has been fully executed.

“As far as marking is concerned we are done we are just doing a few things here and there to ensure that there are no gaps to ensure that if students were absent they were actually absent and are not ghost students,” said Magoha.

Speaking about the training of teachers who will be in charge of the upcoming junior high school classes, Magoha stated that the process will begin as soon as the KCSE examinations are completed in May 2022.

“In terms of what I hear in the press about teachers that are going for training in the junior secondary, we are going to train a large number of teachers for both grade 7 and 8 in April this year,” he said.

“We are transiting to grade 6 after this exam is released. It will be a tight year also which we are going to follow our roadmap. Those kids will have an exam which has already been set to be given in December.”
