The school prides itself in producing the top candidate nationally in KCPE 2022 – Otieno Lewis Omondi Glen who attained 431 marks out of 500.
Kakamega County offers Glen Otieno Lewis Scholarship
Otieno Lewis, who elso emerged top in the KCPE exams has also landed a sponsorship.
Kakamega County government has said it will sponsor Otieno’s education in high school.
“Good academic results are as a result of deliberate efforts from teachers, parents, learners and the community. Congratulations St. Peters Mumias Boys Primary for placing Kakamega County on the National map, by producing the best student,” Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa said on Thursday.

In the 2022 KCPE, female candidates performed better than their male counterparts in three languages among them English, Kiswahili, and Sign language.
Male candidates performed better than female candidates in Maths, Science, Social Studies, and Religious Education.
Four counties recorded more male than female candidates this year. They are Turkana, Garissa, Wajir and Mandera.
