How to Receive KCSE Results 2023/2024

Now that the marking of this year’s KCSE examinations is over, the Kenya National Examinations Council is rushing against time to process the results, calculate each and every candidate’s scores for all the papers and eventually release the results to the general public.

Once KNEC is done with the processing of the KCSE 2023 examination results, the CEO Dr. David Njeng’ere will present them to the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Education Ezekiel Machogu who will table them before President William Samoei Ruto at the  State House. If the President gives a nod and vets the results, the CS will then proceed to the KNEC Headquarters at Mtihani House to release them.

However, most KCSE candidates are still at a loss wondering how they can get their results especially now after the KNEC SMS code malfunctioned during the release of this year’s KCPE results.

After announcing the KNEC results, CS Machogu advised parents to use the new KNEC SMS code 40054 to access results via SMS. This is the easiest and the most efficient way of accessing KNEC results. Unfortunately, candidates and parents had to bear the anxiety of waiting for their results for eternity.

School heads are the ones who saved the day by downloading the results via the official KNEC Portal.

To abate fear and anxiety during the upcoming release of the KCSE 2023 exams next week, CS Machogu has clarified that KNEC intends to introduce a new portal through which KCSE 2023 candidates and the general public may view results.

Checking KCSE results in Kenya is a straightforward process. This step-by-step guide will provide you with the necessary information to access your scores quickly and easily.

Step 1: Visit the knec website. The first step to checking your KCSE results is to visit the knec website at https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/. After visiting the website, click on the “Examinations” tab at the top of the homepage.

Step 2: Select your examination. After clicking on the “Examinations” tab, you will be directed to the “Examination Types” page. On this page, select the examination you are interested in viewing the results for.

Step 3: Enter your details. Once you have selected the examination, you will be directed to the “Results” page. On this page, you will need to enter your name and identification number in the fields provided.

Step 4: Check your results. After entering your details, you will be able to view your results. You can also view the results of other students by entering their identification numbers in the fields provided.

Step 5: Print your results. Once you have viewed your results, you can print them out by clicking on the “Print Results” button. You can also save a copy of your results to your computer or a USB drive by clicking on the “Save Results” button.

• Step 1: Open Your Laptop or Mobile Web Browser.
• Step 2: In Address Bar type “www.knec-portal.ac.ke“
• Step 3: Find “2023 Online Result Slip“.
• Step 4: Click on the option.
• Step 5: KCSE – RESULT SLIPS window will open.
• Step 6: Enter Your “User Name” and “Password”.
• Step 7: Click on the “Login” Button.
