The latest details reaching us at newspro indicate that Ezekiel Machogu, cabinet secretary for education, has made it clear that the ministry intends to introduce a new website where the public may view the results of the KCSE exam.
In his testimony before a parliamentary committee on Thursday, Machogu stated that KNEC will do away with the SMS code and replace it with a website that will allow candidates and parents to view their results at no cost.
Machogu conveyed remorse for the preventable difficulties encountered in obtaining KCPE results and underscored the need for such problems to cease.
He gave an example of an earlier instance in which the decision to terminate the services of an outside contractor was made because the contractor had not met the necessary requirements.
It implies that we won’t be able to employ the same service provider going ahead when we announce the KCSE results. He continued, “I am already interacting with ICT to see if we can create a website.
Acknowledging technical issues with the system, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) recently apologized for the delays in making the 2023 KCPE results available.
Exam council informed those who tried to view their results that they will receive updates via a special SMS service (40054).
Parents have had access to their children’s national exam results via the KNEC website or an SMS number over the years.

In order to get their results via SMS, candidates must transmit their index number to a designated code, followed by the initials KCPE/KCSE (in capital letters).

Students who have achieved the required cutoff points to Join University under government sponsored will start doing revision as communicated by the Kenya Universities and College Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) in January ahead of 2022 September intake.
