Government’s Information That Leaves Teachers Warming Up For More KNEC Jobs

The Government is trying to make sure that no stone is left unturned in its efforts to see that the students get the best Education that they deserve. The Government has just released the capitation fees to schools.Over Ksh 17 billion has been disbursed to schools to facilitate the free secondary and primary Education.
Teachers are in a rush to complete their syllabus on time. This time, the teachers will be with the students for only 30 weeks instead of the stipulated 39 weeks. This reduction has been so due to Covid-19 pandemic that has wrecked havoc in the country.

The 2021 KCSE and KCPE candidates are warming up for their national exams in March next year.Plans are underway to see that the coming exams are done successfully.Last year, some of the teachers were caught unaware after being sacked for aiding cheating in exams.Over 20 teachers were sacked as announced by Education CS Professor George Magoha during the release of the results.

A new report on the next lot of candidates is out. This time, more candidates will sit for their exams in March compared to last year’s.In a report revealed by the Ministry of Education,1,225,693 candidates have registered for 2021 KCPE while 831,026 candidates have registered for KCSE.This means that 34,085 more students will sit for their KCPE exams as compared to last year.

On the other hand, the number of KCSE candidates has increased by a wooping 78,084 candidates this year. This leaves teachers with a hope of more KNEC Jobs as invigilators and supervisors. The revelation has come at a time when KNEC has completed trainings for the 2021 Examiners’ in various subjects in secondary schools and in Composition and Insha for primary schools.Hopefully, the teachers who have been yearning for the KNEC Jobs should now warm up since the Council must definately need more examination officers.
