FULL LIST OF MOBILE LOAN APPS BLOCKED FROM ACCESSING CRB SERVICES IN KENYA 2020

CBK Governor Patrick Njoroge last week announced the barring of some mobile-based online money lenders from accessing a tool that enables them to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers available at the Credit Reference Bureaus, CRBs.
Unregulated mobile-based lenders were also not spared since approvals granted to unregulated credit-only lenders were also withdrawn.
This major move follows public complaints about the misuse of CRBs by unregulated digital and credit only lenders especially poor responsiveness to customer complaints.
In a statement issued by Governor Patrick Njoroge, the following mobile apps will not be allowed to access CRB services
