The results are now available online and via mobile for all KCPE 2023 candidates.
Placement of KCPE 2023 Candidates to various secondary schools was crowned on Friday with all the 1.4 million candidates who sat for this year’s national examinations bagging slots in national, extra county, county and sub county secondary schools in Kenya. According to the ministry of education, the exercise was purely based on merit and/or performance. Background of school will play a vital role. Secondary schools in Kenya are grouped in four tiers;
National Schools
Extra County School (Formally Provincial Schools)
County Schools
Sub-county schools
Form one 2024 selection for KCPE 2023 candidates who scored above 400 marks have been given priority in National schools. This group will be those joining the 136 national schools. Of these 136 national schools, 35 are special-needs education secondary schools.
This year’s placement is likely to see thousands of candidates who did not score 400 marks and above join national schools, which have the capacity to accommodate over 30,000 students.
How to Check Secondary School Selection via sms code 22263
Candidates and parents can now access joining instructions that are available online for all categories of schools through the ministry’s www.education.go.ke or check the results by texting the candidate’s index number only to 22263. To check secondary school selected SMS your index number to 22263 (the code works for safaricom, Airtel and Telkom). The sms charges ksh. 25.
How to Download form One 2024 Admission Letter Online
Downloading form one 2024 admission letters is now easier. Once you have confirmed the school in which you have been admitted then the next thing is to download your admission letter. To download your letter follow these steps:
Go to: Form one 2024 admission letter
Select the county and sub-county you sat KCPE then key in your index number and Submit.
Click on the link named “admission letter” at the bottom of the page for a copy of your admission letter.
Use the printer icon to print or download icon to download to your computer.
Get your primary school’s headteacher to endorse the letter and stamp it in the space provided.
Finally, present it for admission together with a certified copy of birth certificate
