TSC Catches Teachers in Boarding Schools Unaware With New Time For Evening Activities

There have been calls by different stakeholders to abolish some boarding schools.A few days ago,Kuppet SG Akelo Misori called upon the ministry of Education to reduce some boarding schools so as to reduce the teachers’ workloads in schools.
The teachers have been crying of workloads.However,the teachers employer is in a rush to employ teachers who will help their colleagues.Some 10,000 teachers who applied in July are currently getting posting letters.Luckily,the commission has also announced close to 2000 intern slots for teachers who will also find their ways to new schools.
Teachers from boarding schools have been caught unaware by the new TSC regulations.The commission has instructed the teachers to ensure that all the school programs that begin at 6.00pm should end by 9.00pm.In a circular released to County bosses,the teachers are required to ensure that the students are safe while going back to the dorms after the evening preps.The teachers should now be observant and implement the Commission’s guidelines.
