TVET opens online platform dubbed MIS for registering and licensing all TVET colleges, trainers, assessors, and programs in Kenya
The Kenya Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority, TVETA through TVET has launched an online platform dubbed MIS at mis.tveta.go.ke for licensing and registering all TVET trainers, assessors, TVET colleges and programs in Kenya.

The online TVET licensing platform dubbed TVET Management Information System, MIS will centralize all TVET activities in Kenya and speed up the process of registering and licensing TVET trainers, unlike the previous manual paper application process.
Besides, TVET MIS will speed up the accreditation of TVET colleges and the programs they would wish to offer.

According to Dr. Lang’ at Kipkirui, the CEO of TVETA Kenya, the newly launched TVET MIS online portal has made the TVET application process smooth, comfortable and faster for clients.
It has been automated the application and feedback process for accreditation services.
“TVET MIS system aims at improving efficiency by allowing the users and our staff to track the entire process of registration from the first to the last step,” said Dr. Lang’at.
Another of TVET MIS system’s merit is that it guides applicants and users throughout the entire application process.
It also prompts and reminds users of the requirements at every step.
How to apply for TVET College Registration and Licensing via the new TET MIS online System
To use the new TVET MIS online system, users are expected to access the portal and attach the required documents as prompted by the automated application process.
This can be done through computers or mobile phones connected to the internet.
After a successful application, the user is expected to await the TVETA board’s verdict which will be communicated online.
Applicants will receive notifications regarding the progress of their application via system alerts and status tracking.
