The ongoing TSC delocalization exercise has attracted mixed reactions after some heads who were recently delocalized from their home counties were transferred again. According to the Daily Nation, some heads who had barely served in their new schools due to delocalization were delocalized again in December 2019.
Some Deputy Principals have however received the December 2019 TSC delocalization news with a broad smile after they were promoted to head various schools.
Majority of the teachers affected by the TSC 2019 delocalization exercise have served the same school for a very long time.
Principals who have served the same school for over 9 years and deputies who have served the same institution for at least 6 years were delocalized.
DECEMBER 2019 TSC DELOCALIZATION LETTERS AND REPORTING DATES
Heads of primary schools across Kenya have started receiving their letters directing them to report to their new schools next week.
December 2019 TSC delocalized teachers are expected to report to their new stations before the official opening date of all schools that is January 6 2020.

According to the December 2019 TSC delocalization statistics, a total of 1, 010 secondary school principals were affected by the ongoing TSC delocalization exercise.
1, 621 primary school headteachers were also affected by the December 2019 TSC delocalization exercise.

DECEMBER 2019 TSC DELOCALIZATION CRITERIA
According to TSC Boss Dr Nancy Macharia, the following criteria were applied when transferring teachers from one school to another in December 2019.
These include teacher’s age, health status, personal request, length of stay in the same school and promotion.
