<p>The Kenya National Examinations Council has released the official dates for registering 2025 KPSEA and KCSE candidates.</p>
<p>Speaking during the official release of the KCSE 2024 results on Thursday, January 9, 2025, the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Education Julius Migosi Ogamba implored upon the stakeholders to take note of the dates to avoid confusion and last minute rush.</p>
<p>According to Migosi, Registration for the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (<em>KPSEA</em>) will begin on January 27th while Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) and the <em>Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education</em> (<em>KCSE</em>) registration will kick off on February 17th, 2025.</p>
<p>The Ministry of Education has also released the schedule for the 2025 National Examinations.</p>
<p>The calendar shows that all national exams will commence on October 27 save for KCSE, which will start on November 23 and end on November 23.</p>
<p>KPSEA will be held for five days until October 30. Candidates will sit KILEA for five days until October 31. On the other hand, KJSEA and KPLEA will subsist for nine days to November 6.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>How to Register for 2025 KCSE, KJSEA and KPSEA Examinations</strong></span></h3>
<p>Accessing the system for KCSE registration online How can I register for KCSE online? To register on KNEC&#8217;s portal first, you must have the appropriate username and password. The username, in this case, will be the school code, which is an 8-digit number.</p>
<p>To get the password, you can send a text to 22262 in the format KCSE#centrecode. You will then receive a message with an 8-digit number as the login password.</p>
<p>You will then enter your specific username and password then click &#8220;Log in&#8221;. After successfully logging in, you will be required to change the password as a security precaution, and a form will appear. This form allows you to change the password. Note that this form will only appear if you&#8217;re accessing the portal for the first time.</p>
<p>How to change your KCSE portal password To change your password, then follow these guidelines. Key in the 8-digit number you received via SMS in the &#8216;Current Password&#8217; textbox. Create the new password in the region labelled &#8216;New Password&#8217;. Confirm your new centre&#8217;s password by re-typing it in the textbox labelled &#8216;New Password&#8217;. Do not copy-paste. Click on &#8216;Change Password&#8217; for you to effect the changes. To proceed to the upload of registration details, click &#8216;Continue&#8217;.</p>
<p>Go to KNEC&#8217;s website Download the candidates&#8217; registration application form Enter the details of the candidates for the creation of the registration file Login into the website again and: Upload the registration file Enter &#8220;new candidate&#8221; to register the new candidate You will also be able to edit the details of already registered candidates, view or download the school invoice, nominal roll, or photo register, and register more candidates. Applicants can also confirm whether or not they&#8217;ve been registered successfully by visiting the KNEC website. Note that this confirmation won&#8217;t require logging in using a username or password. The school principals should be aware that the application is only available for periods before the registration deadline. According to the school&#8217;s admissions registry, each candidate will be issued an index number.</p>
