<p>To decentralize <a href="https://newspro.co.ke/category/education/kuccps/"><strong>KUCCPS</strong> </a>placement services, the placement body has undertaken major steps that encompass establishing a downloadable app that can be installed on mobile phones. Besides, <a href="https://newspro.co.ke/category/education/kuccps/"><strong>KUCCPS</strong> </a>has got various huduma agents stationed at the various huduma centers across over 20 counties for easier application for kuccps placement this year. Currently, KUCCPS is in the process of releasing the new cut-off and cluster points per gender for the KCSE 2021 candidates whose results were recently announced. There are speculations that KUCCPS may raise <strong>2022 Cut off points to B- for girls and B plain for boys. <h6><strong>HOW TO GET THE APP</strong></h6>

<p>The <strong><a href="https://newspro.co.ke/category/education/kuccps/">KUCCPS</a> </strong>mobile application is available on the Google play store. To get the app, simply search for the KUCCPS app and select the one titled ‘KUCCPS STUDENTS’ and have the official KUCCPS logo. Ensure the app is having the developer as ‘KUCCPS DEV TEAM’. Then, you can click on install to have it on your phone. <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kuccps.students.mapp&;hl=en">Click here to get the app now.</a></p>
<h6><strong>TO USE THE APP</strong></h6>
<p>Once installed, log in normally (as you do on the kuccps portal). To access your account, you must be armed with your KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password. Use Your Birth Certificate number or KCPE Index No (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as your Initial Password. You can change this if you like but it is not very necessary to do so.</p>

<h2><strong>2022/2023 Kuccps Placement Application Process</strong></h2>
<p>The placement cycle is summarized below:</p>
<h3><strong>STAGE 1: School/Centre Application- 2022/2023 </strong><strong>Placement.</strong></h3>
<p>The School/Centre application commenced on <strong>Monday, January 4, 2022, and closed on Wednesday, March 31, 2022.</strong> The principals’ manual to guide the process is available in the respective school portal.</p>
<h4><strong>Application Process</strong></h4>
<p>Each KCSE candidate shall be given an opportunity to choose their preferred courses as shown below:</p>

<p>1. Degree Course choices: 1(a), 1(b), (c), 2, 3, 4.<br />
2. Diploma Course choices: 1,2,3,4<br />
3. Craft Course choices: 1,2,3,4<br />
4. Artisan Course choices: 1,2,3,4</p>
<p>All candidates should be encouraged to apply and can give choices from all four levels.</p>
<p>However, they should make choices only for programmes they are interested in pursuing.</p>
<p>It is important to note that currently, KUCCPS places students to Bachelor Degree (currently C+ and above), Diploma (C- and above), Craft Certificate (D plain and above), and Artisan (D- minus and below).</p>
<p>Therefore, all candidates qualify for placement in university or college irrespective of their KCSE examination results grade.</p>

<p>An application fee of Kshs. 500 shall be charged per student.</p>
<h4><strong>STAGE 2: First Revision</strong><strong>– 2022/2023 </strong><strong>Placement.</strong></h4>
<p>The first revision of Degree and TVET choices will be held on dates to be announced by KUCCPS after the release of the K.C.S.E. Results.</p>
<h4><strong>Application Fees</strong></h4>
<p>If the student applied for placement during the School/Centre application, they shall pay Kshs.1,000.</p>
<p>If the student is applying for placement for the first time at this stage, they shall pay Kshs.1,500.</p>
<h4><strong>STAGE 3: Second and Subsequent Revisions </strong><strong>– 2022/2023 Placement.</strong></h4>
<p>Candidates who will not merit any of their preferred choices in the processing of their preceding placement applications will be given a chance to revise during the subsequent Revision by selecting from courses with unfilled capacities.</p>
<h4><strong>Affirmative Action Criteria</strong></h4>
<p>The Placement Policy applies affirmative action criteria based on: gender, marginalization, and disability.</p>
<p>To facilitate this process for the benefit of the students, principals are reminded to indicate clearly the following information for every candidate accordingly:</p>
<ul>
<li>Citizenship</li>
<li>Gender</li>
<li>Nature of disability (where applicable)</li>
<li>The geographical location of the school/Examination center</li>
</ul>
