<p>The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, <a href="https://newspro.co.ke/category/education/kuccps/"><strong>KUCCPS</strong> </a>has made public its plan to ensure a 100 percent transition of KCSE 2021 candidates to universities and colleges in May/June 2022.</p>
<p>Consequently, <strong>all interested applicants are advised to apply for kuccps placement in 2022 now that the application portal has been opened today.</strong> Kuccps offers a wide range of courses that range from degree courses to artisan courses for candidates who scored D- and E. In case you are trying to access the kuccps placement portal without success, kindly be patient since the delay may be caused by high traffic, given the huge number of applicants trying to access the online student portal. Applicants are therefore advised to remain patient and try accessing the kuccps placement service later when the error has been resolved.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>KUCCPS Cut-off Points 2022/2023</strong></span></h3>
<p>The<strong> KUCCPS cut-off points are dynamic</strong> for they keep on changing from one year to another depending on how the students perform during KCSE examinations results. There are unverified claims that the placement body may raise the cut-off this year but KUCCPS is yet to confirm this.</p>
<p>The current KUCCPS cut-off points may not remain at C+ plus for both males and females.</p>
<p>The cutoff points for male candidates are 60, B, while the cutoff criteria for female candidates are 58, B-.</p>
<p>Following the customary affirmative action approach, females’ points have been reduced by two points. Admission to universities is expected to begin in September.</p>

<p>The Females’ points have been lowered by two points following the traditional affirmative action policy. University admission is expected to kick off in June.</p>
<h2><strong>2022/2023 Kuccps Placement Application Process</strong></h2>
<p>The placement cycle is summarized below:</p>
<h3><strong>STAGE 1: School/Centre Application- 2022/2023 </strong><strong>Placement.</strong></h3>
<p>The School/Centre application will commence on <strong>Monday, January 4, 2022, and close on Wednesday, March 31, 2022.</strong> The principals’ manual to guide the process is available in the respective school portal.</p>
<h4><strong>Application Process</strong></h4>
<p>Each KCSE candidate shall be given an opportunity to choose their preferred courses as shown below:</p>
<p>1. Degree Course choices: 1(a), 1(b), (c), 2, 3, 4.<br />
2. Diploma Course choices: 1,2,3,4<br />
3. Craft Course choices: 1,2,3,4<br />
4. Artisan Course choices: 1,2,3,4</p>
<p>All candidates should be encouraged to apply and can give choices from all four levels.</p>
<p>However, they should make choices only for programmes they are interested in pursuing.</p>
<p>It is important to note that currently, KUCCPS places students to Bachelor Degree (currently C+ and above), Diploma (C- and above), Craft Certificate (D plain and above), and Artisan (D- minus and below).</p>
<p>Therefore, all candidates qualify for placement in university or college irrespective of their KCSE examination results grade.</p>

<p>An application fee of Kshs. 500 shall be charged per student.</p>
<h4><strong>STAGE 2: First Revision</strong><strong>– 2022/2023 </strong><strong>Placement.</strong></h4>
<p>The first revision of Degree and TVET choices will be held on dates to be announced by KUCCPS after the release of the K.C.S.E. Results.</p>
<h4><strong>Application Fees</strong></h4>
<p>If the student applied for placement during the School/Centre application, they shall pay Kshs.1,000.</p>
<p>If the student is applying for placement for the first time at this stage, they shall pay Kshs.1,500.</p>
<h4><strong>STAGE 3: Second and Subsequent Revisions </strong><strong>– 2022/2023 Placement.</strong></h4>
<p>Candidates who will not merit any of their preferred choices in the processing of their preceding placement applications will be given a chance to revise during the subsequent Revision by selecting from courses with unfilled capacities.</p>
<h4><strong>Affirmative Action Criteria</strong></h4>
<p>The Placement Policy applies affirmative action criteria based on: gender, marginalization, and disability.</p>
<p>To facilitate this process for the benefit of the students, principals are reminded to indicate clearly the following information for every candidate accordingly:</p>
<ul>
<li>Citizenship</li>
<li>Gender</li>
<li>Nature of disability (where applicable)</li>
<li>The geographical location of the school/Examination center</li>
</ul>
