Revised School Term dates: The Ministry of Education in Kenya has released the 2025 revised and final term dates/ calendar for all primary and secondary schools. Schools will reopen for the first term on 6th January 2025 and close on 4th April 2025 after a 13 weeks marathon.
There will be a half-term break of three days; from 26th February 2025 to 2nd March, 2025.
Schools will then resume for second term on 28th April, 2025 after the April holiday. The closing date for second term is slated for 1st August 2025; meaning the term will last for 14 Weeks.

Term 3 will be very short and will last for 9 Weeks only; from 25th August 2025 to 24th October 2025.
There will be only four examinations in Primary schools; KPSEA, KJSEA, KPLEA & KILEA. KPSEA Exams will run for 4 Days between 27th October 2025 and 30th October 2025.
The high stake KCSE exams will commence on 3rd November 2025 and end on 21st November 2025; for a period of 3 Weeks.
Learners will then break for the long December holidays that will last for 10 Weeks; From 27th October 2025 to 2nd January 2025.

In the new school calendar, all schools will reopen fully on January 4th 2021. This will apply to all continuing PP1 and 2; Grade 1, 2 and 3; Class 5, 6 and 7; and Form 1, 2 and 3 learners.
