Recently divorced Inooro TV News anchor opens up about her 59-day-old marriage

When getting married, most couples look forward to the day they will celebrate their first anniversary. However, Inooro TV news anchor and gospel artiste Winnie Rose Wangui has a different version of anniversaries.

Despite her marriage lasting for only 59 days, Winnie Rose says she has no regrets whatsoever.

“We went separate ways and I think he got a better wife than me,” said Winnie Rose on a YouTube interview.

When asked about the cause of the separation, the news anchor said that there were so many disagreements even during wedding preparations.

She further added that although they tried to solve them peacefully in vain.

Winnie Rose said that they separated when she was pregnant and she was forced to spend nine months alone. Although she admits that it was tough, she somehow pulled through.

She had to isolate herself even from friends given the stories that were doing rounds. She had to keep off “unhealthy talk” as she termed it since everyone was dying to know the cause of the separation.

During her delivery, Winnie Rose had to sign the consent form alone.

“All I wanted was my peace and to hold my child. I was in a private ward and I did not want anyone in my ward,” she said.

Too soon

When asked how long her ex-husband took to remarry, the news anchor said she did not know but what she was sure of is the fact that his child and hers were almost age mates.

Winnie Rose Wangui is trying to support other single women through the Tunza Future Initiative aimed at empowering needy women who are shouldering the responsibility of raising children on their own.
