NEW TSC SALARIES PER GRADE/ JOB GROUP; NEW TSC SALARIES FOR SECONDARY TEACHER III, GRADE C1, FORMER JOB GROUP J (DIPLOMA TEACHERS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS) AS FROM JULY 2020
TSC SECONDARY TEACHER III/GRADE C1/ JOB GROUP J
This is an entry Grade for tutors in secondary schools with diploma qualifications. The announcement by the teachers’ employer, TSC about the much anticipated July 2020 pay rise does not offer hope to these diploma teachers since they will walk away empty-handed their CBA having been concluded in Phase 2.
Their monthly basic salaries range between Sh 27, 195-33, 994.
ALLOWANCES
It is however important to note that much as these teachers fall in the same grade/ job group, their monthly gross salaries differ depending on the location of their work stations. The same case applies to their TSC allowances. For instance, teachers posted to stations listed as TSC Hardship Areas get an extra Sh 8, 200.
Special Needs Teachers, SNE, also get an extra Sh 8, 200
Teachers in Grade C2, former K earn the same amount of commuter allowance that is Kshs 4, 000.
The Commission also pays a flat rate of Kshs 4, 000 annually as leave allowance in January.
