Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) is a public university in Kenya, headquartered in Kakamega. It was founded in 1972 as the Western College of Arts and Applied Sciences (WECO) and gained full university status in 2007. The university is named after a prominent Kenyan politician, Masinde Muliro.
