<p><strong>Peter Mokaya Tabichi, the 2019 Global Teacher Winner has joined other educationists from all over the world to celebrate the International Day of Education, an event which will be celebrated in New York.</strong></p>

<p><strong>The 2020 World Education Education Summit will be focusing on the learning crisis and the effectiveness of contemporary responses and pathways to innovative solutions.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The theme aims at promoting inclusive quality education policies alongside sustainable development goals, SDGs.</strong></p>
<p><strong>In an interview with The Standard, Peter Tabichi said he was greatly humbled to be invited to such an event. He further added that it was great listening to other key education stakeholders who had dedicated themselves to upgrading and improving accessibility to education from all over the world.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The 2020 World Education Summit noted that literacy levels had tremendously increased since the 1970S despite the challenges that still exist.</strong></p>
<p><strong>However, the literacy and enrollment rates do not provide an insight into the level of access to quality and inclusive education.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Peter Tabichi’ s trip to New York comes a few days after he paid a visit to Pope Francis in Sana Marta in Rome, Italy.</strong></p>
