The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened its application portal for students interested in enrolling at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

In a notice released on June 24, KUCCPS announced that the portal is now accessible for candidates applying for the September 2025 intake.

The placement service encouraged students to submit their applications, stating that the portal will be available for two weeks, from June 23 to July 7.

“Announcement! The KUCCPS online system is now open for applications for the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) September 2025 intake,” KUCCPS stated.

In the announcement, students were instructed to apply for their desired courses through the KUCCPS portal or by visiting any Huduma center nationwide.

**How to Apply for KMTC Courses**

To apply for one of the 36 available courses, students should log into the KUCCPS portal at students.kuccps.net.

Upon accessing the portal, applicants will need to enter their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) index number, the year they completed their KCSE, and their password.

Students are advised to use either their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or their birth certificate number as their password.

KUCCPS has listed 36 programs, which include both diploma and certificate courses. Notable options include a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery and a Diploma in Pharmacy.

Other diploma courses available for application encompass Public Health, Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Health Counseling, Health Promotion, Kenya Registered Nursing, Mortuary Science, and Optometry.

Certificate courses open for application include Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Medical Emergency Technician, Health Insurance Management, and Nutrition and Dietetics.

This announcement follows the recent opening of the portal for candidates to revise their course choices for the second time.

When announcing the second revision, KUCCPS indicated that the revision window was available for 2024 KCSE candidates who either had not applied for courses or were not successful in their initial applications.
