KUCCPS Course | Cut Off Points 2022-2023 | Level | Number of Subjects | Cut off Points per Subject | Career Pathway | Duration | Fees per Semester | |
1 | Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering | Minimum Admission Requirements The basic admission requirement shall be the minimum requirement set for entry into Public Universities which is a mean grade of at least C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). In addition, candidates shall have obtained at least C+ in each of the four cluster subjects from any of the following alternative clusters. However, a cut-off grade higher than C+ in each cluster subject shall be preferred if limitations in the number of places available for each degree programme versus the number of qualified candidates so demand. The said cut-off grades shall be determined and implemented by the School Board. Course Objectives
The Petroleum Engineering undergraduate program is primarily concerned with the training on how to engage in the economic extraction of oil and gas natural resources from the earth. Producing oil and gas is accomplished through the exploration, design, drilling, and operation of wells and well systems, and the integrated management of the underground reservoirs in which the resources are found.
