Official Knec Advert for KCSE Examiners Training 2021- 2022

The Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec has finally advertised the highly sought after training opportunities,openings for secondary school teachers in preparation for the massive contractual  recruitment of Knec Examiners who will soon be charged with the responsibility of assessing the KCSE, KCPE 2022-2023 national Examinations.

These examiners will be charged with among other duties co-ordination of the marking Scheme, marking of Candidates’ scripts, and cross checking of learners’ scores.

Besides the normal Knec payment rates for KCPE, KCSE examiners, these teachers will be reimbursed any costs met during their travel to the designated KCPE, KCSE marking centres and receive a co-ordination fee of Kshs 150 per day.

Training Dates and Vacancies for Knec KCPE, KCSE Examiners 2021-2022.

 

The 2022 Knec Training for Examiners will take place in October following the shortlived disruption of the official MoE school calendar. Knec will soon issue the official training dates. Below are details on the official Knec Examiners Training Venues per paper, Application Fee and Process

The 2021 Knec Training for Examiners will take place between 3rd and 9th October. Interested applicants are expected to meet the cost of training by remitting an application fee not exceeding Sh 10, 500. The Application is done online during the month of September before the set deadline. To apply;

Step 1. Logging onto the official Knec Examiners’ portal online

Visit https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke or click Here

Step 2. Verification or Creation of Knec Cp2 accounts

Log onto the official Knec portal using the username and password you use to access your Cp2 account.

In case you have forgotten or lost your password, click on the reset password tab to retrieve your account using your mobile number which must be entered using the 254 728 xxx xxx format.

If you do not have a Knec Cp2 account, you are expected to create one and follow the instructions given to update your profile.

Step 3. Updating your personal profile onto the official Knec Examiners’ portal online

Upon successful login, fill your personal details to update your profile and click the Save button.

Step 4: Application for Training on the official Knec Examiners’ portal’s dashboard online

On the dashboard provided, click on the tab labelled “Apply for Training” and all the declared vacancies will be displayed for you to choose.

In the 2021-2022 cycle, Knec declared a total of 4,200 KCSE Knec Examiners’ Training Vacancies.

In the 2022-2023 cycle, Knec will declare * vacancies depending on the availability of training opportunities and demand for examiners.

It is Knec Training time again for those who have applied and paid. Despite the fight for decentralisation it still looks like there is no change, so teachers wishing to be trained as Knec examiners this year will have to travel again.
