The Kenya Coast National Polytechnic has got nine departments with various courses ranging from diploma to artisan levels.
The college’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was established in 199. It kicked off with less than 10 students who were undertaking artisan programmes at the time.
In 2002, the department introduced Craft Programmes and later on Diploma courses in 2009.
Telecommunication courses were also introduced in 2012.
The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic currently has approximately 350 students enrolled for various artisan, craft and diploma courses.
The department’s mission is to offer high-quality knowledge and competence-based training in electrical engineering and other related fields dealing with modern and emerging technologies.

DIPLOMA IN TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING COURSE OUTLINE AND DURATION
The course involves both theoretical and practical lessons. Trainees undertake rigorous K.I.E and D.I.T curriculum programmes at various levels and other value addition subjects that factor in modern technological advancements.
DIPLOMA IN TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING COURSE DURATION
The course takes three years to complete.
