CHEATING
As the marking of this year’s KCSE exams kicks off, the fate of 21 KCSE candidates is still unknown following their involvement in exam irregularities.
Speaking at Kenya High school, Professor George Magoha, the Cabinet Secretary for education, confirmed that 21 cases of cheating have already been reported and 90 phones confiscated during the administration of the 2019 KCSE exams.
Besides, 300 schools had been put under constant watch following allegations of plans to cheat.
This year’s orchestrated cheating hot spots include Kisii, Homa Bay, Garissa, Wajir, Migori and Nairobi Counties.
2019 KCSE RELEASE DATES
CS Magoha also said that the 2019 KCSE results will be released long before Christmas, a declaration that has sent jitters in officials who are strongly opposing the idea of “rushing” the marking and the release of national exams.
