The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE is a summative test offered at the end of a four-year course in Kenya. The examinations are very standard with KCSE candidates expected to take at least two papers in at least 7 subjects from a pool of languages, sciences, technicals, Mathematics, and humanities.
Therefore, the only legible candidates for 2022 KNEC results are candidates who have successfully sat for at least seven subjects. Candidates involved in examination malpractices will not be awarded successfully. They get awarded grade Y. Candidates who do not complete their papers are awarded X. The highest and most highly coveted but rare grade during KCSE national examinations is Grade A. Only a few top 100 schools manage to produce a few straight As this year. KCSE 2021/ 2022 Facts and Statistics
In 2021 KCSE, a total of 752, 602 KCSE candidates were registered for the national examinations conducted between March 14 and April 1, 2022.
The 2021 KCSE candidature rose by 78, 000 which translates to 10.42 percent.
A total of 242, 406 teachers were hired by KNEC as contracted professionals to help in the effective management of the 2021-2022 KCSE national exams this year.
The 2022 KNEC contracted professionals encompass invigilators, supervisors, security officers, deputy center managers, and center managers.
