Form One Selection Results 2021; Top Creme National Schools that Attracted the Highest Number of KCPE Candidates
The Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha has unveiled the list of top creme schools that attracted the highest number of KCPE candidates.
According to the 2021 form one placement report, most KCPE candidates opted for the 17 traditional national schools.
This posed a great challenge that saw the technical team stuck in Naivasha trying to craft the best formula for equitable distribution of the limited slots in these schools.
Top in the list of KCSE top performing secondary schools that attracted the highest number of KCPE candidates during the form one selection process this year is Pangani Girls whose demand surpasses its student capacity- Ministry of Education, MoE approved enrollment rate which stands at 336. Alliance High School is also a dynamite for KCPE top scholars with a student capacity of 384 and finally the Kenya High School whose learner capacity stands at 336.
The aforementioned schools previously attracted over 50,000 KCPE candidates during the form one selection exercise.
Pangani Girls did attract 118, 817 form one applicants in the year 2020 while Alliance had a total of 83, 489 form one applications. Kenya High School clinched the third position with 49, 727 applications.
Form One Selection to National Schools 2021
Selection and placement of learners in national schools depends on merit-KCPE score, school choice, student capacity and affirmative action to ensure equity.

There are 335 sub counties in Kenya meaning that a total of 3350 top 10 candidates in every county will join national schools of their choice come July 26, the official reporting dates for all form ones.
