Alliance High School details

‘Bush,’ as it is commonly nicknamed, is a public national boys’ boarding secondary school located in the Kikuyu area in Kiambu County, Kenya. It was one of the first schools in Kenya to offer secondary school education to Africans. Founded in March 1926 by the Alliance of Protestant Churches – The Church of Scotland Mission, that is the current day the Church of the Province of Kenya (CPK), African Inland Church (AIC), and the Methodist Church, the school has grown to the academic giant it is today.
The current principal of the school is Chief Principal William Mwangi.

 The school offers both the new Competence Based Curriculum, CBC, and the nearly phased out 8-4-4 education system to the students under the Kenyan curriculum. It has got approximately 500 students and a total of approximately 20 teaching staff.
