The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, commenced the reporting of new students for the March 2026 intake across campuses nationwide, marking the start of a new academic journey for thousands of aspiring health professionals.
Speaking on the exercise, CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch confirmed that the College had put in place the necessary arrangements to receive the students, with a total of 21,774 expected to be enrolled.
“All campuses are fully prepared to receive the new cohort, with orientation programmes and support services already in place,” he said.
Dr. Oluoch noted that the reporting process has been staggered throughout the week to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery.
He reaffirmed the College’s commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and professional values required to serve communities effectively.
The CEO further indicated that the College is working closely with the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) to facilitate the release of admission letters for the first revision, which closed on March 13, 2026.
Across campuses, students began reporting as early as 6.00 a.m., eager to begin their training at the College.
At the Nairobi Campus, the reporting exercise was characterised by a steady flow of students and guardians, with administrative teams facilitating registration and onboarding processes.
“I am excited to join the mighty KMTC. I have been looking forward to wearing this uniform, and I am glad the day has finally come. I look forward to completing the reporting process and settling into my room. This will be my home for the next three years,” said one excited student.
Nairobi Campus Deputy Principal, Academics, Mr. Willy Bett, assured students of a supportive and conducive learning environment.
“We are delighted to receive our new students. Our faculty and staff are ready to guide them through a transformative academic journey that will prepare them for the demands of the healthcare sector,” he said.
The March intake forms part of KMTC’s regular admission cycles aimed at meeting the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals in Kenya and beyond.
