The release of the KCPE 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) national examinations before Friday, 30th November, 2023 marks the end of an era, the reign of theoretical 8-4-4 system of education.

After November 30, 2023, all regular schools in Kenya whether public or private will switch gears and fully embrace the newly rolled out Competency Based Curriculum that focuses on a holistic development of the learner equipping them with hands-on skills applicable to real life situations.

The latest news pertaining to the release of the KCPE 2023 KNEC results at our disposal is like sweet music to the ears for the KCPE 2023 candidates, especially those who are expecting to reap after years of toiling. According to the Education Permanent Secretary Dr. Belio Kipsang, all systems are now being installed to ensure that the release of the national test results before Friday, November 30, 2023 is successful. The confirmed venue for the release of the KCPE 2023 results is Mtihani House, along the Dennis-pritt road in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city.

Kipsang, who spoke at Naivasha Girls High School during an inspection tour at the school to monitor the ongoing KCSE examinations, assured candidates that their results will be out by November 30, 2023.

The ministry was set to announce the results before Christmas in its earlier communique.

“2023 KCPE results to be released by November 30 to allow for secondary schools’ placement and to aid parents in readying school fees,” the PS revised the dates.

“It will also give parents ample time to prepare for school fees amid harsh economic times,” he added.

KCPE and KPSEA exams began on October 30, 2023, and were completed on November 1, 2023.

At least 1,415,315 candidates sat for the KCPE exams and are waiting for the results, whereas 1,282,574 candidates sat for their KPSEA assessments.

The KCPE exam was the last to be conducted in the country 38 years after its inception as the country transitions to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Meanwhile, Form 4 candidates are currently undertaking their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national exams, which started on October 23 and will end on November 24.

During his tour of Naivasha Girls, PS Kipsang lauded the measures put in to curb exam irregularities, including the double collection of KCSE exam scripts.

The PS was accompanied by Nakuru County Director of Education, Victoria Mulili, Subcounty Deputy Commissioner Kisilu Mutua and the principal of the school, Rose Mwangi.

 How to Receive KCPE 2023 Results Via Mobile

Owing to the fact that the vast majority of Kenyans possess a mobile phone, Knec has made it easier for KCPE candidates to access their final results in less than ten minutes.

To get KCPE results 2023 by SMS a candidate is required to send an SMS with their Index Number to 20076.

Note:

Do not leave a space between Index number and KCPE; Also write KCPE in Capital letters.

The cost of each SMS is Sh.25.
