Revised 2022-2023 term dates for all schools in Kenya
The Ministry of education has revised the 2022 school calendar (2022 term dates) for all primary and secondary schools in Kenya. In the calendar, all learners will open for term one of 2022 on 25/04/2022. The term will last for 10 weeks with the closing date slated for 1/7/2022.
The Ministry says the revision of the term dates is in a bid to normalize the school calendar which was disrupted by the covid 19 pandemic.
“Following the stake-holders’ consultation, the revised term dates were agreed on in order to cover the remaining two terms of 2020 school calendar and stabilize school calendar by December 2020.” Reads a circular by the Ministry of Education and titled; ‘RE: SCHOOL CALENDARS FOR YEARS 2020, 2021, 2022 AND 2023- REVISED TERM DATES FOR PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND TEACHERS TRAINING COLLEGES’.

KCSE TIMETABLE 2021-2022
Here is the revised and final KCSE 2021-2022 Timetable and instructions to candidates who will sit for their examinations in March/ April 2022. According to the timetable, the candidates sit for their first theory paper on MONDAY 14/03/2022. The last examination day will be on Friday April 1, 2022.
TIMINGS OF PAPERS IN THE 2021 KCSE EXAMINATION AND INSTRUCTIONS TO SUPERVISORS, INVIGILATORS, TEACHERS & CANDIDATES
All first session examination papers will start at 8.00 a.m. The start time for second session examination papers is as indicated on the timetable.
The time allowed for each paper is indicated against the name of the paper and NO EXTRA TIME IS TO BE ALLOWED.
In case of any discrepancy, the time stated on the question paper should be taken as the correct one.
Time for reading through questions is part of the time shown on the question paper except where special paper instructions indicate otherwise.
Supervisors and Invigilators are asked to ensure that candidates have written their names, index numbers and have signed on their answer scripts before they collect the answer scripts from each candidate while the candidates are advised to ensure that they only take the subjects they are registered for.
Schools should upload marks for subjects with a Project component by 30th October 2021 for Milestone 1 and 31st January 2022 for Milestone 2 where applicable.
