2020 TSC lined up Salary Increments and Promotions for Diploma Teachers and Primary School Teachers in Grade B5 as from July 2020
TSC Boss Dr Nancy Macharia has confirmed the upcoming TSC 2020 Promotions and subsequent salary Increments of secondary school Diploma Teachers and Primary School Teachers in Grade B5 (previously referred to as P1) as from July 2020.
Speaking during her formal presentation on the 2020 budget policy statement to the National Assembly’ s Education Committee on February 19, 2020, TSC CEO Nancy Macharia said that Kshs 7 billion had been set aside to facilitate the promotion of the aforementioned teachers as from July 2020.
“7 billion shillings is ready for the annual salary Increments and promotions of secondary school diploma and primary school teachers as from July 2020.
She further added that the Commission is ready to Employ 5, 000 teachers on permanent and Pensionable terms and 10, 000 TSC intern teachers in 2020 (an assertion that did not go down well with the legislators.)
The Members of Parliament, therefore, advised the Teachers Service Commission to employ teachers on Permanent and Pensionable terms.
